Making music made easy

Recording facilities

All of our rehearsal rooms have good quality CD recording and playback equipment, but for a professional quality recording, we have a fully equipped studio.

Studio tech spec:

  • Studio desk, Penwith Music Centre

  • Mackie 2408 - 24 channel 8-bus mixing console

  • Alesis HD24 24 track hard disk recorder

  • 3 banks ADAT supplying audio to MOTU audiowire, giving 24 channels to Cubase, for sequencing

  • Outboard compressors, reverbs and multi effects units via two 24 channel insert patchbays.

Hire charge

The studio is available to rent at £5.00 per hour. This does not cover the cost of a studio engineer who you will need to book separately. Our policy is to only allow those sound engineers we have approved to use the studio, so if you want to bring your own engineer in, please contact us so we can make sure they are properly trained and experienced. Engineers approved to work in the studio are available at evenings and weekends, and we are happy to provide their details for you to book their services.

To book the studio, please contact our Administrator, Lisa Wakfer, on 01736 352152, weekdays after 1pm.
